CBU’s Boardmore Playhouse set to Launch 45th Season

Cape Breton University’s Boardmore Playhouse is set to launch its 45th season line-up on Tuesday, September 15 at 12 noon. All are welcome to come and get a first look at what’s in store for this approaching season: upcoming theatre events, season ticket subscriptions, information regarding the four-week workshop series and a seminar focusing on the production of Hamlet. As well, short scenes from this year’s major plays will be performed.

“The Boardmore Theatre’s 2015-16 Season of Plays will once again be jam packed with a quality selection representing a range of genres for all ages.” says Boardmore Theatre Director, Todd Hiscock. “This year’s selection of Main Stage productions will focus on commemorating the anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death. With 2016 marking the 400th anniversary of the Bard’s passing, the Boardmore Theatre is pleased to offer a selection of plays that celebrate Shakespeare in his many forms.”

The CBU Art Gallery will also be present to announce its schedule of exhibits, along with a sneak peek of CBU’s Lumiere project and an introduction of the newly formed CBU Student Theatre Society.
