CBU Boardmore Theatre Launches 41st Season of Plays

William Shakespeare’s The Tempest is the first offering in the Boardmore Theatre’s 41st Season of Plays opening Thursday, November 24.

This year’s season includes the American classic, Death of a Salesman, directed by Todd Pettigrew; the Canadian farce, The Last Resort, directed by Bruce Cathcart; The Elizabeth Boardmore One-act Play Festival, featuring five new plays by local playwrights; the annual Youth Theatre Festival; Nightlight, a play for young audiences dealing with bullying; and The Maritime Marionettes with their production of Jack and the Beanstalk. “It’s another season jam packed with top quality theatre,” says the Boardmore Theatre’s Artistic Director, Todd Hiscock.

Again this year many students from local schools will be in attendance with close to 1200 high school students expected to see The Tempest, and more than 1500 elementary school students visiting the Boardmore Playhouse for the production of Nightlight.
