Are you the Boardmore Theatre`s Oliver Twist?

Cape Breton University’s Boardmore Theatre is now preparing for it’s 2016 – 2017 Season of Plays and is inviting all those interested to audition for the productions.

”This year the Boardmore Theatre is looking for actors and singers of all ages to fill the many roles available in this year’s exciting line-up,” says Todd Hiscock, Artistic Director.

The Season of Plays will begin with Once And For All We Are Going To Tell You Who We Are, So Shut Up And Listen , a stage production with a cast of 14 teenagers. Next up is Les Belle Seours with an entire female cast ranging in ages between 18 – 65. The third of the Boardmore’s main stage productions for the 2016-2017 season will be Oliver! the hit Broadway musical.

“We are looking forward to meeting as many young actors as possible to fill the roles of the orphans and especially the role of Oliver Twist,” says Hiscock. “This role will be a gem of an experience for a young male actor.”

Auditions will be held on September 17 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and September 18 from 1 – 5 p.m. The 2016/17 will also include the Elizabeth Boardmore One Act Play Festival for which original plays can be submitted by September 31st and non-original plays by November 30, 2016.
