qPCR Technical Workshop with Sean Taylor, PhD Field Applications Scientist, Bio-Rad Laboratories

Sean Taylor, PhD Field Applications Scientist, Bio-Rad Laboratories will present qPCR Technical Workshop. Topics will include:

• qPCR Theory
• MIQE Guidelines
• Experimental Design (part 2)
• Reference Gene Selection and Primer Validation
• CFX Manager Software and Data Analysis

qPCR is a proven technology widely used in research. It has become the gold standard for validating genomic studies. Yet many pitfalls can affect the quality of obtained results. The purpose of this workshop is to provide a thorough understanding of qPCR , current guidelines (MIQE), and proper experimental design. All attendees will leave with a solid understanding for the design, implementation and analysis of results from a qPCR experiment to assure production of reproducible data that will reflect the biological question(s) posed and stand the test of time in the peer reviewed literature.

Lunch Provided, Please RSVP by Friday, June 30th, 2017 to vielka_salazar@cbu.ca. Space is limited.
