Creating Community/Academic Partnerships: Part I

A diverse and experienced panel of Cape Breton University faculty and community leaders will convene in this unique format to discuss the value and challenges surrounding academic/community partnerships.

Our panelists are:

Fred Deveaux, Executive Director of Cape Breton Community Housing Association
Catherine Leviten-Reid, Associate Professor in the Shannon School of Business
Christine Porter, Executive Director of the Ally Centre of Cape Breton
Margaret Dechman, Associate Professor in Sociology
Janet Bickerton, Chair of the Ally Centre of Cape Breton
Jill McPherson who is working with Kevin McKague (Assistant Professor in the Shannon School of Business) as part of the Farm Shop research team in Kenya and another project in the South Sudan.
