Accommodation for the 7th IOERC MUST be booked at Cape Breton University (it’s truly the easiest/only option).  We have blocked off the entire MacDonald Residence building, which has 50 well-appointed double occupancy dormitory style rooms (shared bathrooms). MacDonald Residence also provides comfortable, roomy living spaces with TVs, Snooker/Pool tables, free Wifi internet access,  and a security desk open until midnight. Linens and towels are also provided.

In order to maximize our use of MacDonald Residence we ask that you book rooms in pairs with a friend/colleague also attending the IOERC.  For those who do not know any other delegates, please contact the local organizing team at ioerc7@cbu.ca for help with potential roommate pairing.

Rates for the 7th IOERC are as follows:

MacDonald Residence: CAN $30/person/night, or CAN $60/room/night (Nova Scotia taxes, 15% HST, are already included in these rates).

Once the majority of students have left the residences in April, some single rooms in Harriss Hall may become available.  These rooms are semi-private (own bedroom, shared bathroom with 1 other person) and are CAN $60/room/night (tax included).

Accommodation bookings should be made by contacting the CBU Residence Coordinator Christine Harrietha at phone at 1-(902)- 563-1792 or by email at Christine_harrietha@cbu.ca. If you will arrive after midnight, please let Christine know.
