Sean is from Quebec. He has been the main technical advisor and troubleshooter since the inception of the project. He now functions as our system administrator, always pro bono.

Eunice is from Listuguj. She is one of the team of Mi’gmaq speakers who edits and adds entries, records words, and prepares and records sentences for the dictionary. She has a long background as a Mi’gmaq language educator for adult learners and at the elementary, middle and high school levels. She also works in curriculum development and translation.

Diane Mitchell

Watson Williams

Watson provided the project with the database we work from (and add to). He and others, especially Janice Vicaire, had compiled and enhanced the data over the several decades he has spent working with the Mi’gmaq language in Listuguj and communities in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. He was instrumental in the publication of a Mi’gmaq bible. He has taught Mi’gmaq linguistics courses at the university level and has worked extensively in Mi’gmaq curriculum development.
