Cape Breton University President H. John Harker. LL.D. is responsible to the Board of Governors and the Senate for the management and operation of CBU’s administrative and academic actions. He is supported by members of senior administration, special advisors and staff. Four vice-presidents are responsible for a wide range of academic and non-academic services

These vice presidents include:

Vice-President Academic & Professional Studies (Provost) - Robert Bailey, PhD

Vice-President, Finance & Operations - Gordon MacInnis, CA

Vice-President, Student Services & Registrar - Alexis Manley, MBA

Vice-President, External - Keith Brown, PhD

The President’s Office is responsible for co-ordinating meetings and activities of the Board of Governors, Senate and various standing and ad hoc committees.
