Casual Employees

Requirements

CBU is accepting applications for placement on the various casual lists within the University.

The successful candidate(s) will be called in to work (on short notice in many cases) when regular employees are on vacation, call in sick, or when extra help is required from time-to-time. There is no guarantee of the amount of work that will be available. The rate of pay is $14.00 per hour. Candidates must be available on short notice.

Candidates must have a relevant degree or diploma; recent related work experience (secretarial and/or accounting/bookkeeping); proficiency in MS Office and Internet; ability to learn updated and/or new software quickly; ability and experience working in a team environment; excellent oral and written communication skills; a high degree of efficiency and organizational ability; and the ability to work without supervision and take initiative.

Qualified candidates should send to the Human Resources Department:

  • a letter of application quoting the reference number (CAS1605) and identifying his/her education and experience as it relates to this position;
  • a resume; and
  • complete contact information of three references.
