Leigh is an Assistant Professor of Community Studies & Sport and Physical Activity Leadership in the Department of Communities and Connections. She has a BA in Political Science and African Studies from McGill University, an MEd and PhD in Sociocultural and Political contexts of Education (ABD) from Lakehead University. Her research interests focus on straight (white) privilege, respectful allyship, queer Indigenous (decolonizing) scholarship, gender studies (critical masculinity) and fat activism. Leigh loves to grow food and teach other people how to do the same.
