Douglass Grant

A native of Glace Bay, Doug joined the faculty in 1971, receiving a Ph. D. in Mathematics from McMaster University that same year.  He served under five institutional names and eight presidents,  retiring as a Full Professor in 2009, and as Assistant Dean of Science in 2010.  Among many other activities, he was a co-author of the original proposal for the Bachelor of Science.  Now residing in Kitchener, he has commenced a second career as a financial planner, and continues to engage in mathematical research and writing.
