Safety and Security
CBU administration is concerned with the safety and security of students, faculty and staff at all times and along with internal support systems, have established an Emergency Response Plan should a need ever arise that calls for special and immediate action.
Commissionaires
The Commissionaires provide their services to all members of the Cape Breton University community on a 24-hour basis. Uniformed personnel patrol the campus, control access, transport students with disabilities and respond to incidents and emergencies.

Walk-Safe program – CAPER PATROL
Caper Patrol operates out of the SOS Booth, located in the cafeteria. The hours of operation are Monday thru Thursday from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., and walk safe service can be requested by either visiting the booth or by phoning 563-1914. The service operates up until the last day of classes in each semester (except summer) and does not operate on holidays.
