Cape Breton University believes strongly in life long learning and continuing education for teachers. For this reason CBU offers a series of innovative learning opportunities designed to enhance, strengthen and increase teacher qualifications.
All of the programs are offered on a part time basis and many of them are offered exclusively online to keep up with your busy lifestyle.
All programs have been certified by the Department of Education, Province of Nova Scotia for teacher License Reclassification.

Application
Applicants to the Certificate and Diploma programs are required to submit a general CBU application (linked below) and all post-secondary transcripts to the Student Service Centre.
Nova Scotia teachers are required to apply for approval from the Dept. of Education prior to beginning an upgrade program. The required form (linked below) can be faxed to (902)424-3814:
