Call for Abstracts
Abstracts for oral and poster presentations are now being accepted for CPC 2016.
The CPC is an open, multidisciplinary paleontological conference. Presentations covering any of the subdisciplines of paleontology or topics related to paleontology, e.g., paleontology in education and media, history of paleontology, etc., are welcomed. Although the conference is based in Canada, there is no expectation that presentations be about research conducted in Canada. Additionally, researchers from outside of Canada are enthusiastically encouraged to attend and present at the CPC.
Please complete and email the Word document linked below to CPC2016@cbu.ca no later than August 1st, 2016.
All abstracts presented at the CPC are intended to be published in a subsequent special Proceedings, published by the Geological Association of Canada, and selected authors may be given the opportunity to expand their presentation into a formal paper for publication.
The conference and submission language is English.
Presentations related to any aspect of paleotourism, paleontology education, or paleontological site stewardship and conservation are strongly encouraged. Submissions from museum administrators, government representatives, and public educators, community leaders, and other stakeholders are welcomed and valued.
To facilitate presentations by those unable to attend the conference, a limited number of spots will be available for researchers to make web-based live video presentations to the conference. If you would like to make a web presentation, complete the form below and indicate ‘web’ in the choice of presentation modes. Abstracts from web presentations will be included along with regular presentations in the Proceedings.
